Kusum Yojana: Kusum Yojana launched by the central government is a very important and ambitious scheme for farmers.  Under this scheme, farmers are given free solar pumps so that they can irrigate their fields for free.  The main objective of this scheme is to increase the agricultural sector and solve the irrigation problem of the farmers.

Eligibility for the scheme:

Only farmers can avail this scheme.

A farmer should have at least 0.4 hectares of cultivable land.

The farmer should be a resident of India.

The farmer should have all the necessary documents.

 

How to apply for this scheme:

Farmers can apply online or offline for the scheme.

 For offline application, farmers should contact the nearest agriculture department office.

Other important points:

Under this scheme, farmers will get up to 90% subsidy on 2 HP to 5HP solar pumps. To avail this scheme, farmers should submit some necessary documents like agricultural land papers, Aadhaar card, bank account details, mobile number,  and a passport size photograph.
