Ambalal Patel: Even though the monsoon is on its way out, a system will activate in the Bay of Bengal by the end of September due to which heavy rains are likely in Gujarat, meteorologist Ambalal Patel said.

AHMEDABAD: The rains have now taken a break in the state. Scattered rain is falling in some areas. On the other hand, due to the heat of Bhadrava, the temperature is also rising. Even though the monsoon is on its way out, the system will become active in the Bay of Bengal by the end of September due to which heavy rains are likely in Gujarat, Meteorologist Ambalal Patel has expressed.

Meteorological expert Ambalal Patel while talking to News 18 Gujarati has said that currently Bhadrava sun is falling in Gujarat. But in the next few days, the system will become active again and rain will occur. The system will become active as the remnants of the cyclone forming in South China move into the Bay of Bengal. It will come to Gujarat through parts of Orissa and parts of Madhya Pradesh. And a cyclonic circulation will form in the Arabian Sea. Due to this, the weather will change in Gujarat and it will be raining.

The weather expert has predicted that the rain has not gone yet. Light showers may occur at different parts by September 22. From September 25, the weather will take a turn and heavy rainfall is likely to occur in some parts of the state from September 27 to 30. Parts of Central Gujarat, Vadodara, Anand, Kheda and Ahmedabad are also likely to receive rain. Parts of Panchmahal will also experience rain.

Ambalal Patel further said that there will be chances of rain in parts of North Gujarat. In which there is a possibility of rain in parts of Sabarkantha and Banaskantha. Some areas may receive 2 to 4 inches of rain with light rain. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in parts of South Gujarat. Along with this, the water level of Narmada river may increase. He has expressed the possibility of 8 to 10 inches of rain in parts of South Gujarat.

The weather expert further said that rain is also likely in parts of South Saurashtra. There will be a possibility of light rain showers in Kutch also. Cloudy and humid conditions prevail over the state. Continuous wet weather can cause disease in crops.
