Ambalal Patel in his rain forecast said that the monsoon may hit Mumbai from tomorrow as the southwest monsoon moves towards the west and then it may proceed in its southerly course with heavy rains.

It has also been stated by the Meteorological Department that from May 10 to 11, there is a possibility of very heavy rain over the coastal areas of Maharashtra, which will affect the southern districts of Gujarat and the coastal areas of Saurashtra as well.

Ambalal Patel in his forecast further told him that rain is likely to occur in most districts of Saurashtra, South Gujarat and North Gujarat from June 12.  So that the farmer brothers should complete the work of their harvest season.

Ambalal Patel has further stated that after June 21, low pressure will develop in Araj Arabian Sea, due to which Gujarat will have very heavy rains and humid weather after June 21 along with normal monsoon.

 The Meteorological Department has also stated in their forecast that in the next four to five days in Gujarat, light rains are expected in central Gujarat and some districts of Saurashtra.   Along with this, after June 13, the thunderstorm system will be active in the areas of South Gujarat and Saurashtra with heavy rain.   Due to this, the possibility of wind blowing at the speed of 30 to 40 km has also been shown.   So, knowing all the above forecast, the monsoon in Gujarat this year can sit from 20 to 21 June and before that there are chances of light showers in this week.
