When will there be a downpour with bangs?  Meteorologist Paresh Goswami’s Forecast on Monsoon in Gujarat: According to Paresh Goswami, the monsoon has arrived in Gujarat ahead of schedule and has officially settled in the state on June 11.  But, soon after the arrival of monsoon, it becomes inactive.  This is known as monsoon break.

Atmosphere at present: avti kal nu havaman 

Cloudy weather will be less.

The temperature can reach 36°C to 39°C.

Westerly winds will be blowing at a speed of 35 to 40 kmph.

Dizziness and heat may be experienced.

Rain forecast: avti kal nu havaman 

Scattered rain: Scattered rain may occur in parts of south Gujarat and Saurashtra during the next 4-5 days.

Universal rains: There is no chance of universal rains in Gujarat till June 20.

Reactivation of Monsoon: Monsoon is likely to reactivate with fresh current in the Bay of Bengal from June 18 to 20.

Slow progress: Monsoon will progress slowly even after activation.

What will be the state maximum today:

40°C in districts including Ahmedabad, Amreli, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mehsana, Patan, Rajkot, Sabarkantha, 39°C in districts including Anand, Aravalli, Banaskantha, Kutch, Mahisagar, Morbi, Vadodara, 38°C in districts including Chotaudepur, Junagadh.

The maximum temperature may decrease slightly in the coming days.

 Advice for Farmers:

1.Currently there is a risk of sowing due to low rainfall.

2.After June 18-20 there is more chance of rain so patience is advised
