Lado Protsahan Yojana: If you have a daughter in your household then no need to worry.  The government has implemented the Lado Incentive Scheme from 1 August 2024, which aims to provide financial support to girls.  Through this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs.1 lakh to the girl child.  The benefit of the scheme starts as soon as you apply for it.

Lado Incentive Scheme 2024:

Under the Lado Incentive Scheme, the government provides money to the girl child from her birth to the age of 21.  The main objective of this scheme is to encourage girls to progress, so that they do not become a burden on poor families and can be brought up properly.  Additionally, the government aims to reduce female feticide through this scheme, ensuring that its benefits reach as many people as possible.

Plan Benefits:

The Lado Incentive Scheme provides financial assistance of ₹100,000 in installments from the birth of a girl child till she reaches the age of 21 years.  ₹2500 is given after 1 year of birth of girl child.  On reaching the age of 5 years, financial assistance of ₹2500 is provided, followed by ₹4000 on first class admission in government or private schools.  ₹11000 on entering 10th standard, ₹25000 on entering 12th and ₹50000 on passing graduation or its equivalent examination or attaining the age of 21 years.

Eligibility and Application:

Lado Incentive Scheme benefits those who deliver in a government or authorized hospital.  Applicant should also be local resident of Rajasthan.  The amount of Lado Incentive Scheme 2024 will be deposited in the bank account.  A verification report will be submitted on the online portal before releasing each installment.  The first six installments will be credited to the parent’s account and subsequent installments will go directly to the girl’s account.

To avail the benefits of Lado Incentive Scheme, you need birth certificate of baby girl, Aadhaar card of parents, residence certificate of parents, bank account details, health card of mother-child, maternity requirements, passport-size photograph, mobile number, email ID etc.  will have  and any other relevant documents.  To apply, submit the required documents to the Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, which will upload them on the PCTS portal.  After institutional delivery and confirmation of baby girl’s birth, the first installment will be paid into the parents’ bank account.

Tracking and future installments:

For tracking purposes, the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare assigns a unique ID or PTS ID number to each girl child at the time of birth.  After she turns 1 and all vaccinations are confirmed, her account will be transferred to another card.  Thereafter installments will be paid into the child’s bank account.
